1. Introduction & Privacy Commitment

Welcome to EazzyXpense ("Application", "App"), a privacy-first, offline-first personal financial expense manager developed and operated by Fox Vision Technology ("Company", "we", "our", or "us").

EazzyXpense is built around one core principle: your financial data belongs exclusively to you. We are committed to absolute transparency and data security. This Privacy Policy clearly outlines how our application processes information, handles Android device permissions (especially SMS access), and ensures full compliance with the Google Play Developer Program Policies (including Sensitive Permissions, Financial Services, and User Data Policies), GDPR, CCPA, and India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP).

2. Prominent Disclosure: Sensitive SMS Permissions (READ_SMS & RECEIVE_SMS)

In accordance with Google Play's Permissions and APIs that Access Sensitive Information Policy, we provide this prominent disclosure regarding why and how EazzyXpense accesses SMS messages:

• • Core Purpose & Necessity: EazzyXpense requests access to android.permission.READ_SMS and android.permission.RECEIVE_SMS solely to automate personal financial expense tracking. This allows the app to detect incoming transaction alerts and read transactional SMS sent by financial institutions (such as banks, credit card providers, debit cards, UPI services like Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, BHIM, and utility billers).
• • 100% Local & On-Device Processing: All SMS message analysis, regex parsing, and transaction data extraction are executed exclusively on your physical device using local algorithms. Raw SMS text and personal messages are NEVER transmitted over the internet, NEVER uploaded to cloud servers, and NEVER shared with any third party.
• • Filtering & Discarding Non-Financial Messages: Our local parser strictly filters for financial transaction patterns (debits, credits, UPI transfers, ATM withdrawals, and bill dues). Any non-financial, personal, promotional, or conversational messages are completely ignored and immediately discarded without being stored or logged.
• • No OTP or Password Storage: One-Time Passwords (OTPs), authentication codes, banking passwords, PINs, CVVs, or account security credentials are strictly excluded and never processed, saved, or captured by EazzyXpense.
• • User Choice & Optional Control: Granting SMS permission is strictly voluntary. You can toggle auto-detection on or off at any time within the app's Settings > SMS Detection screen, or revoke the permission entirely from your Android Device Settings. If SMS permission is not granted, EazzyXpense remains fully functional as a manual expense tracker.

3. Information Handled & How It Is Used

EazzyXpense operates as a local-first utility. The information processed includes:

• • Structured Financial Transaction Data: When transactions are detected via SMS or entered manually, the app saves structured fields (transaction amount, date/time, merchant or sender name, bank/account last 4 digits mask, transaction type [debit/credit], and category tag) into a private local SQLite database. This data is used solely to generate your expense summaries, category budgets, analytics, and spending reports.
• • Bill Due Reminders: Extracted due dates, payee names, and amounts for utility bills, credit cards, or EMIs are saved locally to send you timely reminder alerts.
• • No Mandatory Cloud Account: You do not need to register an account, sign in, or provide your phone number, email address, or identity documents to use EazzyXpense.
• • Diagnostic Logs: We maintain strict zero-financial logging. No transaction amounts, account identifiers, or sensitive details are ever written to application log files.

4. Data Sharing, Selling & Third-Party Disclosure

We maintain an unequivocal policy regarding user data monetization:

• • Zero Data Selling or Renting: We never sell, rent, monetize, trade, or share your personal financial data, SMS content, transaction logs, or spending habits with advertisers, brokers, marketers, or third parties under any circumstances.
• • No Behavioral Advertising Trackers: EazzyXpense contains no third-party advertising SDKs that monitor or build consumer profiles based on your purchases.
• • Google Play Services: Standard Google Play platform libraries are utilized strictly for app distribution, updates, and core operating system compatibility.
• • Legal Requirements: Because all financial and transaction data is stored purely on your local device and not on our servers, Fox Vision Technology has no central repository of your personal transactions to access or disclose.

5. Data Storage, Architecture & Security

We safeguard your information through secure architecture and best practices:

• • Local Sandboxed Database: All transactions, categories, budgets, and bill reminders are persisted in an on-device SQLite database (managed via Drift) inside the sandboxed private application storage directory (/data/data/com.eazzyxpense.eazzyxpense/), which cannot be accessed by other unprivileged apps on your device.
• • Secure Preferences: Sensitive configuration parameters and flags are stored securely using hardware-backed Android KeyStore encryption via Flutter Secure Storage.
• • Offline Architecture: EazzyXpense operates independently of cloud servers. Your personal expenses remain strictly on your phone.

6. User Rights & Data Deletion (Google Play Compliance)

In compliance with Google Play User Data policies, users have comprehensive and immediate control over all their stored data:

• • In-App Clear Data Option:
  1. Open the EazzyXpense app and tap the Settings tab.
  2. Scroll down to the Data section.
  3. Tap Clear local data and confirm the prompt.
  4. All recorded transactions, custom categories, reminders, and cached preferences stored on the device will be immediately and irreversibly purged.
• • Operating System Level Deletion: You can also wipe all app data at any time via Android System Settings:
  Settings > Apps > EazzyXpense > Storage & Cache > Clear Storage.
• • App Uninstallation: Uninstalling EazzyXpense from your Android device immediately and permanently deletes the local SQLite database and all associated application storage files created by the app.

7. Children's Privacy

EazzyXpense is intended for individuals managing their personal finances, budgets, and household expenses. It is not directed toward children under the age of 13 (or under 16 in applicable jurisdictions). We do not knowingly collect, parse, or solicit personal data from children.

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect enhancements in EazzyXpense, adjustments to features, or updates in regulatory standards and Google Play Developer policies.
